Chinese violinist Ning Feng, prizewinner at the Hanover International, Queen Elisabeth, Yehudi Menuhin International and International Paganini Competitions, performs violin concertos by Edward Elgar and Gerald Finzi, whose 1927 violin concerto received its first performance in 1999 and is performed here for the first time since then. Cellist Natalie Clein performs Rebecca Clark's "Viola Sonata" on cello, along with several works by Frank Bridge, including his Cello Sonata as well as three short works: Serenade, Spring Song and Scherzo. The recording also includes Vaughan Williamss Six Studies in English Folk Song.
