Livestream: Watch the Brentano Quartet Perform Haydn and Mendelssohn

By Laurie Niles: Watch below: The Brentano Quartet - which have been together since 1992 and were featured on the soundtrack of the movie "A Late Quartet," perform works by Haydn and Mendelssohn. Currently the Quartet-in-Residence at the Yale School of Music, they also have had residencies at Wigmore Hall in London and at Princeton University. The Quartet is named for Antonie Brentano, whom many scholars consider to be Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved.” PROGRAM

The concert, which took place on Saturday, is part of the Atterbury House Sessions concert series, curated by Lara St John and celebrating the 150th anniversary of New York’s iconic Atterbury House. Two more concerts remain in her series: violinist Augustin Hadelich on May 15; and violinist Lara St. John herself on June 5; both to be livestreamed at 5 p.m. EST. You might also like:
