They are:
The Finalists, chosen from 13 semi-finalists from around the world, will come to Shanghai to participate in the live competition in 2022, which will be arranged in accordance with national pandemic prevention and control guidelines. They will be competing for a First Prize of $100,000, Second Prize of $50,000 and third prize $25,000, with $5,000 each for Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Prize.
During the Finals, contestants will perform a newly-commissioned Chinese work, Violin Concerto "Night Tour" by Chinese composer Zhou Tian; as well as a string quartet piece and a violin concerto of their choice with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.
Jurors for the current competition include David Stern (Co-Chairman), Vera Tsu Weiling (Co-Chairman), Martin Campbell-White, Glenn Dicterow, Emmanuel Hondrè, Pei Li, Weigang Li, Ning Feng, Philip Setzer, Hagai Shaham, Joel Smirnoff, Kyoko Takezawa, Maxim Vengerov and Jian Wang. The current competition will retain its "2020 SISIVC" title, to commemorate Isaac Sterns centenary in 2020.
