- Boston Musical Intelligencer: "...the players listened to each other expectantly and successfully negotiated all the comings and goings. Have we ever heard more perfectly aligned simultaneous trills?"
- Violinist.com: "(Steve) Reich's unique language went straight to the emotions of this horrible day and its aftermath without any need for translation, and the musicians of the Lyris Quartet, with live-sound mixer Scott Fraser, met the challenge of synchronizing with a pre-recorded track in a way that brought experience alive."
- The Boston Musical Intelligencer: "When we get to hear an ensemble with the reputation of the Borromeo String Quartet...we expect something special. The groups concert on September 5th lived up to expectations in numerous respects."
