By Laurie Niles: INDIANAPOLIS Sixteen violinists were named as semi-finalists in the 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) on Wednesday, after four days of preliminary rounds, in which each of 39 participants performed a 45-minute recital of masterworks by J. S. Bach, Paganini or Ernst, Mozart or Schubert, plus a work from the encore repertoire.
