Finalists announced in 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis

By Laurie Niles: INDIANAPOLIS – Six violinists were named as Finalists in the 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) on Monday, after four days of semi-final rounds, in which each of 16 semi-finalists performed a full recital showcasing 19th and 20th century works from the standard repertoire. Here are the finalists:

• Joshua Brown, 22, of the United States
• Sirena Huang, 28, of the United States
• SooBeen Lee, 21, of South Korea
• Julian Rhee, 22, of the United States
• Claire Wells, 21, of United States
• Minami Yoshida, 24, of Japan

The Classical Finals begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
