- Bachtrack: "His playing was assertive and colourful, full of personality; suave and debonair in the first movement and full of gently glowing lyricism. He sounded sleek and gorgeous in the slow movement and swashbuckled his way through the finale with a dashing sense of harum-scarum. His sound throbbed with vibrato and was perfectly spotlit without ever sounding garish."
- Edinburgh Guide: "Award-winning American violin soloist Philippe Quint gave a first class virtuoso performance with the Orchestra quite rightly taking second place. He told us his well deserved encore was from Charlie Chaplin. "
- San Francisco Classical Voice: "Pine, who has recently released a recording of the work with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Jonathon Heywards baton, threw herself into the piece with a full-blooded opening cadenza. "
- Town Topics: "Throughout the concerto and especially in the cadenza to the closing movement, Vähälä nimbly played passages of virtuosity requiring double and triple stops as the Symphony maintained a stately yet joyous feel to the music."
- Nippertown: "Her instruments distinguishably sweet tone resonated throughout the room. If she took direction from anyone else, it wasnt apparent: the young virtuoso was on another plane."
- The Boston Musical Intelligencer: "The encore, Francisco Tárregas Recuerdos de la Alhambra arranged for violin by Ruggiero Ricci, gave Dueñas a chance to show off the artistic maturity shes already evinced in Youtube-accessible performances of the Mendelssohn and Bruch violin concertos. "
- Limelight: "Not using a score, he demonstrated an innate and detailed knowledge of the entire work, a demanding and impressive feat, while his interpretation was considered and informed. He managed his joint tasks with great attention to detail and considerable aplomb."
- Broadway World: "Lamsma's tone is an ideal match for the concerto, her high bridge-notes strikingly pure and rich, articulation precise, finger strength evident in long-lasting trills"
- Press Herald: "The main event for Sunday was a performance of Giuseppe Verdis 'Requiem'....At times strikingly abrupt, moving from admonition to reassurance, from 'wrath' to 'rest everlasting,' the piece grew in strength through a compelling performance from all concerned."
