By Laurie Niles: With so much turmoil going on in the world, I thought we might enjoy a weekend vote that doesn't churn up a lot of strong opinions and heated emotion, and so here is what I came up with:
What color is the interior of your main violin case?

While it may not alter the course of the planet, we do open up the violin (or viola or cello) case very frequently. It often sits open while we practice or teach or take a lesson, and the color stays with us for years. For example, if you have had more than one case, do you remember the interior color of "violin cases past"? I certainly do.
I still remember the first time I wanted to get a "nice" violin case, back in the days of the magazine-style Shar Music catalogue. I was picking out my dream case, (or really, pining for it) - an "American" - and I kept vascillating: blue or burgundy? Burgundy or blue? I went with burgundy, and it went with me for some 20 years. I had a Musafia case with a gold-yellow interior - my favorite color. At the moment the interior of my case is a silvery-grey. It's beginning to feel like time for a change!
What color is the interior of your case? For the vote, please pick whatever is the closest to the color of your main case. If it is several colors, pick the one that feels most dominant to you. Then tell us about it in the comments! Do you like the color, or not? If not, what would you prefer? Did you get to choose the color, or was it chosen for you? Did you feel too limited in your choices?
