Playing on the 1718 "Maurin" Stradivari violin (on loan from the Royal Academy of Music), violinist Anna Im presents a program including Fauré’s Violin Sonata No 1 and Amy Beach’s Romance. "When I delved into the music of Fauré and Beach for this album, I was swept away by a kaleidoscope of colous, an energy that breathed life into every note and a sense of solace and exhilaration," Im said. "My wish in creating this album was to offer listeners a gentle escape from reality, inviting them to immerse themselves in a world of pleasant dreams, even amidst life's daily challenges." A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, Im recently won First Prize at both the Stuttgart International Violin Competition and the ArsClassica International Competition 2024.
